The main objective of Ljubljana Tourist Board is to build Ljubljana’s identity and present the city as an attractive tourist destination. It has developed a range of highly-structured tourist services which are not only attractive for visitors but also have a positive impact on the quality of life of local residents.
Fields of activity include product management as well as business travel (MICE, taken care of by the Ljubljana Convention Bureau), marketing, public relations and production of promotional materials. The Board runs the Visit Ljubljana, a highly informative webpage.
Ljubljana Tourist Board runs two Tourist Information Centres in the city (one for Ljubljana and the second for Slovenia as a whole). In addition, four touch-screen kiosks provide easy access to information on Ljubljana’s tourist services while 13 permanent information points and a range of display stalls in city hotels and at the airport display information brochures and tourist publications. Guided city tours are organised in 16 languages using licensed local guides.
