Mediterranean International Folklore Festival (MIFF) presents the folklore dances, music, singing and the cultural variety of the Mediterranean countries to the public

Launched in 2003 by the VAL Piran Folkloric Dance Association, the Mediterranean International Folklore Festival (MIFF) is an annual event showcasing traditional dance, music, and costumes from diverse cultural backgrounds. Initially focused on the traditions of Mediterranean regions, the festival has gradually expanded to include folklore groups from around the world. Festival events are held in Piran’s historic city centre, both in open-air venues and at the Tartini Theatre, as well as in the nearby coastal towns of Koper, Izola, and Portorož. The festival traditionally concludes at the Portorož Auditorium.

MIFF is included in the official festival calendar of CIOFF – the International Council of Organisations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts.
