Established in 1995 by stage director Tomi Janežič, the Studio for Research into the Art of Acting has since attracted many actors and directors to work in it. In addition to its own productions, the studio also manages Krušče Creative Center and the center's international artistic residency.

International cooperation

In 2020, the Studio joined 6 partners from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Italy, Macedonia and Serbia in the international cooperation project "The Ways of the Heroes", which was among the 13 projects selected on the highly-competitive Western Balkans call put forth by the Creative Europe programme.
