Freyer Theatre was established in 1992 by Edi Majaron, a musician who has been engaged in puppetry for more then 45 years as director, composer, educator, researcher and writer, and has studied the discipline in Prague. In 1954 he established his own puppetry theatre which later became the [[Jože Pengov Puppet Theatre]]. Edi Majaron has directed more than 80 performances, many of which were awarded international prizes. The Freyer Theatre is a family enterprise - artist Agata Freyer has been a set designer since 1969 and has created puppets and stage sets for around 40 performances.
