Emzin, the cultural NGO of creative production, is a non-profit organisation (zavod) that is active in the field of visual arts and publishing. Since 1990 the institute has published [[Emzin, Magazine for Culture]], dedicated to the promotion of art and culture with particular emphasis on graphic design and photography. Since 1997 Emzin has organised educational seminars on graphic design and photography involving acknowledged Slovene and international lecturers. To date Emzin has hosted Stefan Sagmeister (New York), Oliviero Toscani (Pisa), Paula Scher and Seymour Chwast (New York), Jonathan Barnbrook, Rick Poynor and David Ellis (London), April Greiman (Los Angeles), Luc(as) de Groot (Berlin), Philippe Apeloig (Paris), Alan Fletcher (London) and Stephen Doyle (New York) among many others.

Emzin organises the annual [[Emzin Magazine Photography Competition]] which rewards Slovenia’s best photography, and also curates exhibitions on graphic design, illustration and photography on behalf of [[Avla NLB Gallery, Ljubljana]], which presents established and emerging artists and designers. Mirko Ilić, Kostja Gatnik, Blue Note Publishers, Paula Scher and Seymour Chwast, Jasna Andrić, Aleksandra Vajd, Meta Krese, Philippe Apeloig, April Greiman and Franco Pinna are just a few of the artists who have been presented.
