The European Music Schools Union (EMU) is a non-governmental and non-profit organisation. It is the European supranational platform for national music school associations from 23 European countries that cover around three million young musicians and music teachers who engage intensively in music at 35,000 music schools throughout Europe. The EMU has achieved the status of counsellor within the European Council. It is a member of the European Music Council (EMC) and an associate member of the International Music Council (IMC). Since 1993 the [[Association of Slovene Music Schools]] has been a member of EMU.
