The Carinthian Slovenes Club, Ljubljana (KKS) was founded in 1928. Its honourable members were Julij Felaher, Slovene writer Lovro Kuhar-Prežihov Voranc and historian Bogo Grafenauer. The Club comprises around 300 descendants of people who went into exile after the Plebiscite of 1920 when the majority of the Carinthia region became a part of Austria. The club fosters cultural exchange between central Slovenia and Slovenes living in Austria, primarily in Carinthia.

Each year at least one cultural group (a choir, theatre or writers) presents its activities in Ljubljana, while members of the Club also pay regular visits to Carinthia. In 1998 the Carinthia Slovenes Club initiated Carinthian Days in Ljubljana. The club also collects books for children, musical instruments and stage props, and offers financial support for educational and cultural activities in Carinthia. It is also a co-founder of the Prežihova Foundation which supports students coming from the Slovene and Austrian region of Carinthia.
