The Slovene Advertising Chamber - Slovenska oglaševalska zbornica (SOZ) aims to promote the importance and the proper role of advertising and communication in society. SOZ is responsible for the ethics of advertising and communication and prepares and amends the Slovene Advertising Codex which sets standards which must be followed. The Chamber consists of several autonomous associations, namely the Association of Advertising Agencies of Slovenia (SZOA), the Association of Advertisers of Slovenia (SZO) and the Association of Slovene Media (SZM). The SZM groups together the media which are SOZ members (confirmed by the SOZ Board and inscribed into the Business Register of the Republic of Slovenia). The Slovene Advertising Chamber is a member of the European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA) and International Advertising Association (IAA). It collaborates with the European Media Reasearch Organisation (EMRO). One of the most important SOZ projects is the National Research on Readership - http://www.nrb.info.
The Slovene Advertising Chamber organises the Golden Drum Advertising Festival of New Europe and the Slovene Advertising Festival (SOF).
