Urbano Dejanje or UD Festival was launched in Ljubljana in 2015. It is organised by the ZOO, a relatively new club set in the Tobačna complex (a former cigarette factory) that runs a programme ranging from dance music to jazz and folk concerts. The other organiser is the Lightbox, an event management team known for staging club events with international names from the contemporary dance music scene.

The first edition of the festival was held at Tobačna, a venue in becoming, that was first used in 2015 for the Flow Festival Ljubljana. The location offers very unique spatial characteristics, being a modifiable, open urban space near Ljubljana city centre that can accommodate quite a diverse set of activities and people.

Urbano Dejanje could be translated as "urban act", which music-wise means a line-up of very different musical formations whose common denominator are artists from urban areas, be they playing jazz or hip hop, pop or ska punk. The concerts are accompanied by daytime festival garden activities that feature skate sessions and a skate fair, an old-timer car exhibition, a DJ workshop, tattoo sessions, etc.

Some of the musicians hosted by the UD Festival were General Woo (HR), Žiga Murko & Ricardo Wuf (ITA), Elvis Jackson, and Muff.
