The library's funds encompass 33,179 catalogued volumes, of which around 600 are serial publications. The library provides professional support to the activities of the National Gallery of Slovenia. The hemeroteque has been a part of the library since its foundation. It contains press clippings related to the contents and activities of the National Gallery, older art and architecture heritage, and cultural policies that are in one way or another connected to museum/gallery activities and preservation of art heritage. Library material is available to public in the Reading Room. Material cannot be loaned and taken home.
