[[Docomomo Slovenia]] has been a working group and a part of the [[Docomomo International]] network since 1996. In 2004 a reorganisation took place because of current threats to the modern architectural heritage. Today its main task is to register relevant Slovene architecture in the Docomomo International Heritage Register. Docomomo Slovenia co-operates with the [[Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia (ZVKDS)]] and also link its activities with various educational programmes of the [[Faculty of Architecture, University of Ljubljana]]. In 2004 the first Docomomo Symposium and study trip were organised under the title Docomomo - Slovenia Example, with participating 15 lecturers and 200 architects, art historians, conservators, urbanists, sociologists and students. This event involved a presentation of the first three Modernist buildings located in Slovenia, which had been inscribed in the Register of the Docomomo International. In May 2006 a second Docomomo Symposium was organised in Ljubljana under the title The Restoration of the Visible Concrete. This event presented and discussed various new themes, including the [[Tovarna Rog]] project, based in a former bicycle factory, plans for the restoration of the Trg republike in Ljubljana city centre and some other Modernist architecture in Ljubljana, Murska Sobota and Mengeš. | [[Docomomo Slovenia]] has been a working group and a part of the [[Docomomo International]] network since 1996.
