The Festival is organised by the Association for Transformation of Social Communication (PIFF). It also tries to open up suitable spaces for the screenings in the city of Maribor. Thus in 2006 most screenings took place at Kino Udarnik Maribor, Narodni dom Cinema Club and First Stage, while additional ones, special events and after-show parties take place at Gustaf Hall, Ciproš Antique Bookshop and Garage for Art Photography (gUF), Pekarna. Since 2007 screenings are taking place at Kino Udarnik Maribor, Pekarna Cultural Centre and Kino Partisan, the old cinema hall in the city center, which was closed some time ago. DokMa Radio is broadcast live from the festival's main venue Kino Udarnik in co-operation with Mariborski radio Študent (MARŠ), Radio Študent (RŠ) and Radio Ivan. The Dokma radio crew prepare interviews with participating authors, guests, visitors and jury members.
