[[Kontrada Festival]] was originally organised by KKM (Klub kanalske mladine) from 1996 to 2000. After a three-year hiatus the festival was revived in 2003 under the name 'Kontrada after Kontrada'. Festival events take place in the open air, with theatre performances and concerts being held in the square and also in the attic of the 'Gothic House' (film screenings with live music) as well as at the Cultural House in nearby Deskle.
