[[Elvis Jackson]] is a ska/punk/hardcore/reggae/metal band from North Primorska. Its original members - David Kovšca: vocals and trumpet, Slavc - Erik Makuc: bass and guitar, Berto - Boštjan Beltram: guitar, and Rado - Sašo Kotnik: drums - banded together just two days before their first show in 1997. Today the band's membership includes Nenad Kostadinovski (Neno) on drums. After hearing them play in Slovene clubs and festivals, the owner of Rock'n'Roll Records invited the band to the studio in 1999 to record their first CD, Move Your Feet It's One O'Clock. They then toured around Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. In the same year the band created a soundtrack for the youth film The Angry, directed by Špela Kucler for [[Radio-Television Slovenia (RTV Slovenia)]]. In 2000 the band made connections with Swiss concert agency Stage Dive. The group has also been included in a compilation No-fi Trash with Swiss record company Floppy Cow, which also produced Lag Wagon, No Fun At All, The Get Up Kids and Hot Water Music. Elvis Jackson have performed with eminent names such as Toasters, Looking Up, Burning Heads, Murphy's Law, Vice Squad, Subhumans, Edna's Goldfish and Citizen Fish. They also did a Swiss tour with the American group Goldfinger. In 2000 their second album Go Home and Practice was released by Rock'n'Roll Records. Their quality punk rock is combined with reggae, ska, metal and a lot of humour. The video for the song Hawaiian Club was directed by Ven Jemeršić of Perfo Productions in co-production with [[Radio-Television Slovenia (RTV Slovenia)]]. | [[Elvis Jackson]] is a ska/punk/hardcore/reggae/metal band from North Primorska.
