Founded in December 1995, IASPM Slovenia now has 15 members whose intellectual profiles range from sociology, ethnomusicology, ethnology and philosophy to music journalism and criticism. Most of its members have been actively involved in either publishing or broadcasting articles, books and translations, related to various aspects of popular music and culture. In March 1998 the Association was registered in accordance with Slovene legislation.
