Gaja Ceramic Artists Association organised the first [[Biennial of Slovene Ceramics]] called At Your Own Soil in 2004. This was the most complex presentation to date of Slovene ceramics in Slovenia, and the aim was to promote the discipline both nationally and internationally. The first Biennial presented 31 artists. The international jury included guests Nicholas Lees from Bristol Polytechnic and Hanibal Salvaro from Zagreb, Croatia.
