Epicenter (also known as School Epicenter) opened in the old town of Ljubljana in 1996. The bookstore is run by [[DZS]] and offers foreign language textbooks and mostly abridged literature for second language learners. It represents the publishers Longman/Pearson Education, Cambridge University Press, Chancerel, Express Publishing, Cle International, Hachette, Alma, Cideb, Edelsa and Diffusion, as well as publishers from other countries (eg the Netherlands, Turkey). Epicenter runs Club Epicenter and co-operates with libraries as well as with foreign language teachers, students and native speakers. It also issues the EPI Newsletter, runs the Epi Reading Badge and Epi Lesepreis competitions for elementary and secondary school readers of English or German literature, and organises children's foreign language workshops every second Saturday.
