Offering concerts, video performances and lectures since the beginning, the festival was eventually enhanced with workshops, a second hand market, a photography exhibition and some late night DJ program. Thus and in spite of its name, the festival - sometimes also called ''Noisefest'' - is much more than just a noise music event. Even music-wise, the presented sound art ranges from noise and industrial music to sludge rock, death metal, ambient music and various forms of avant garde sonic expression. |
Besides presenting an explicitly alternative artistic production, a big emphasis is given on the DIY ethics and aesthetics. The festival is organised by the DRMK - Collective for Development of Youth Culture, a well-known presenter of alternative music events, who started its so-called 'Youth action' events with the first noise festival. For the five few years, the festival was going on in Klub Gromka, but has since then relocated and is for the last few years taking place in Klub Menza pri koritu.
