CUF is a collective of young creative music producers, DJs and visual artists, formed in December 2010. Their aim is to promote digital culture through music production, making visual and multimedia art, and organising live events for further exploitation of their multimedia production. CUF is also a platform for young creative people with ideas, which inquire technical skills or production support, in the field of DJ-ing, VJ-ing, electronic music production, creating interactive applications or installations and designing motion graphics and films. For now, CUFs primarily goal is exploring electronic music on the fringe of IDM, dubstep, future garage, glitch, hip-hop and electro.

Members

CUF is a growing society and now consists of 9 members, with Some1Else being the most prominent of them. As a highly recognisable part of younger Slovene generation of electronic producers, he was one on the first to introduced the clip chop genre to the world. Clip Chop is a performance style, where media (music and video)is chopped into fragments or clips and then replayed in a new diverse composition. Other active members of CUF are also Bartillier, Loutseau, DVS and Mitac, they participate as DJs and producers and Vjboc, who provides the visual support for CUF events.

Events

In 2010 the collective started to organize periodic electronic parties in MC Velenje and later on became regular guest appearance on DubLab, a series of weekly events held in Klub Channel Zero. They also CUF also contributes a special series of happenings called CUF EXPERIMENT, within which the technological limitations and artistic expression collide. The first one took place in Velenje in August 2011, as a part of Kunigunda Festival, when they performed electronic with video mapping on the (pročelje) Kulturni dom velenje. As individual artists the members of collective performed alongside renowned world electronic artists such as Venetian Snares, dalek, XXXY.. on ars electronica and lanzarote.
