The town Zagorje, situated in central Slovenia, was the home town of world renowned conductor Carlos Kleiber, who visited the orchestra's rehearsal in 1997. The world-famous virtuoso flute player James Galway paid a visit to the orchestra in 1996. The Orchestra has performed in Hartberg, Graz, Tieschen, Voelkermarkt (Austria); Livorno, Riva del Garda, Azzano Deccimo (Italy); Ostrava (Czech Republic); Larvik (Norway); and Chicago (USA).
