Demeter is an atmospheric and melancholic sounding tandem of Miha Zbašnik and Jure Engelsberger. They have been creating and performing in this intimate duo since around 2003, though their common musical path actually goes back quite a bit longer, to a 1990s high-school neo punk Racija that was disbanded in 2000.
Since then, they've embarked on this minimalist interplay of guitars and voices in which one can hear echoes of the acclaimed singer-songwriters Marko Brecelj and Tomaž Pengov. They've released a well received album in 2007, but have otherwise remained a bit low-key.
