The [[Izidor Cankar Award]] is awarded biennially by the [[Slovene Art Historians' Society]] on 22 April, birthday of Slovene art historian Izidor Cankar. At least one award and at least three special mentions are bestowed on professionals, individuals or groups from Slovenia or abroad who have made significant contributions in the field of Slovene art history.
