The Social Activities Department of Logatec Municipality is responsible for social and health care, education and sports, as well as for public culture and cultural heritage preservation. The cultural heritage of the municipality is represented by some Roman ruins, Logatec Castle, an old mill, some fountains and 21 small churches. A private Military Museum in Gorenji Logatec and a Ceramics Workshop in Laze are of a recent origin.
The local branches of the Union of Cultural Societies of Slovenia (ZKDS) and the Public Fund for Cultural Activities of the Republic of Slovenia (JSKD) facilitate the activities of around 20 cultural associations comprising about 1,180 members.
