The Festival endeavours to foster international and inter-regional networking, offering workshops and lectures by invited documentary film makers and other guests. It is taking place annually in Maribor at the beginning of November and the films are screened at Kino Partisan, [[Kino Udarnik Maribor]] and at the [[Pekarna Cultural Centre]]. The Festival comprises six sections: Main Programme, Etno DokMa, Documentary Masterpieces (retrospectives), Parallels, Interregional Programme and Especially Slovene.
