Since the recent institutional reorganisation, Kino Velenje operates as a part of Velenje festival Institue, which is run by the Municipality of Velenje. The cinema is a part of the
Art Cinema Network, which distributes selected art film production around Slovenia. Today, almost half of the film programme at Kino Velenje comprises of art film production.
