Since its inception the Centre hosted several temporary art exhibitions, among others also by sculptor Marjan Drev (Figura v vozelnem prostoru no. 2) and Forma Viva by several Slovene visual artists, made in cooperation with the Lent Festival and Art Kamp. The permanent museum collection dates back to the 14th Century and is currently being restored and renovated.
In 1999 the Government of Slovenia adopted a decree declaring Betnava mansion a cultural monument of national importance.
