Veter ('Wind') Mixed Youth Choir was established in 1989 by [[Ljubljana Musical Youth]] with a membership of some of the best singing pupils from Ljubljana. Nowadays the choir is an independent association and one of the best youth choirs in Slovenia. Since 1993 it has been led by Urša Lah and has achieved many successes. It has been awarded the highest prizes at the [[International Youth Choir Festival]] in Celje (1995, 1997), at the International Youth Music Festival in Neerpelt (1996 and 1998 first prize) at the International Choir Competition Mendelssohn-Bartholdy at Pohlheim (gold prize), and at festivals in Cork (2000), Budapest (2001), Lindenhozhause and Preveza, Greece (2002). It performs with the [[RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra]] and the [[RTV Slovenia Big Band]], co-operates with the Ljubljana Union of Cultural Societies at various seminars and appears as a regular guest in the concert series of [[Ljubljana Musical Youth]], which has published its songs at audio CD Mikrokozmos. | Veter ('Wind') Mixed Youth Choir was established in 1989 by [[Ljubljana Musical Youth]] with a membership of some of the best singing pupils from Ljubljana.
