The Slovene Science Foundation is an independent and autonomous national institution of common-good significance in the field of science. It was founded in 1994 as a private institution with a public function. It promotes the development of new achievements and technology, and the expansion of knowledge in organisations.


Aims and funding

Through its presence as a non-governmental national institution in the field of science and through a concrete programme of co-operation, especially with non-governmental national and international science foundations, the Foundation extends international scientific co-operation on behalf of the Slovene scientific community in order to accelarate and promote scientific research. Stipends for additional studies and postgraduate studies are offered twice each year (in Autumn and Spring, according to the availability of funds).
