Almira Sadar (b 1963) graduated in architecture and then specialised in industrial design at the [[Academy of Fine Arts and Design]] in Ljubljana. Since 1997 she has been a Senior Lecturer at [[Department of Textiles, University of Ljubljana]]. In recent years she has exhibited in Slovenia ([[BIO - Biennial of Industrial Design]], [[Ljubljana International Biennial of Graphic Art]]) and in Denmark, Chile and Austria, and has collaborated on several projects with Marija Jenko Starič. Twice each year since 1998 she has created her own collection for the [[AlmiraSadar]] label. In 2003 she opened a showroom for her own exclusive women's wear and accessories in the centre of Ljubljana.
