Zagorje ob Savi Library was established in 1945 and from the outset had a reading room with 50 seats. In 1960 the Library was relocated to the newly-constructed [[Delavski dom Zagorje Cultural Centre]]. In 1994 it was enlarged to create a youth department and now has premises of 400 square metres. The library collection comprises around 59,000 units which are accessible to more than 3,000 registered readers.
