The American Slovenian Education Foundation (ASEF) was established in 2014 with objection of enhancing American and Slovenian education activities and uniting Slovenian scholars and educators globally. The Foundation offers grant and endowment programs, teaching and learning materials and facilitate students and faculty exchange. American Slovenian Education Foundation is based in Stanford, California but aims to have branches in other states and countries as well.


Mission and cultural cooperation

The Foundation's main mission is to build a bridge between academia and business excellency with linking promising students from Slovenia with university and industry mentors in U.S. but does also the same for American students in Slovenia.

In 2014 the Foundation together with Stanford University Computer Science launched a summer internship program at Stanford for students of the University of Ljubljana.
