Ljudmil Rus Guitar Orchestra was established in 1963 under the leadership of guitarist and composer Ljudmil Rus. It is one of the oldest Guitar Orchestra in the world. In the group have been played more then a hundred guitarists. Its musicians are mostly students from the Academy of Music and different fakultet at University of Ljubljana. In Orcchestra has been played very known Guitarist such as Tomaž Rajterič, Gregor Avsenik, Mladen Bucić, Katja Porovne Silić, Uroš Usenik etc. The Orchestra has a broad repertoire which ranges from baroque to contemporary symphonic music, opera, oratorio and cantata, theatre and film music, written by Slovene and foreign composers. Its appearances have been broadcast on RTV radio and TV programmes.
