The Institute for Strategy and Development Analysis (IRSA) was founded in December 2004 in Ljubljana as a small flexible research unit that engages in applicative, experimental and expert interdisciplinary projects in the field of social sciences and humanities. The institute was founded by experienced researchers and writers, and also aims to involve young researchers from various fields in the future. The research centre within the IRSA is an organisational unit that tackles the bids for international projects, national projects and commercial projects.
In 2006 two media research projects in the field of media were commissioned by the Ministry of Culture: The Structure and Effects of Financing the Programme Contents and the Development of Technical Infrastructure in the Field of Media after the Implementation of the New Act on Media (2001) and The State of Media Pluralism in Slovenia. The results of the research are available at the Ministry of Culture's website.
