The KULA Journal was launched in 2008 by Slovene Ethnological and Anthropological Association in order to establish conceptual ties between ethnology, cultural/social anthropology and other related disciplines.

The Journal publishes work and texts by students of the Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Ljubljana, professionals and already established academics from Slovenia and abroad. The languages of the publication are Slovene, English, Serbian, Croatian and Macedonian. It is published biannually, every time with a special theme issue. The past editions included The Spectral Analysis of the Gender, The Will to Power, Tito - Old Icon in the New Contexts, Cultural Heritage of the Past for a Better Future, and The Reality of Imagined Spaces.

Each issue of the Journal is available on-line.
