Dolenjska Museum Novo mesto Kapiteljska njiva was used as burial site from around the 10th century BC to the 1st century. Recovery, cataloguing and storage of the Bronze and Iron age artifacts is done under the auspices of Dolenjska Museum, Novo mesto The Dolenjska Museum, Novo mesto, set up in 1950, is a regional museum of the Dolenjska region. One of its four permanent exhibitions is dedicated to the region's rich archaeological history, including the Kapiteljska njiva discoveries from both the Hallstatt and La Tene periods, which contributed immensely to the study of the European prehistory of the two periods.
