Serbian Cultural Centre Danilo Kiš was founded in 2009 with the aim to promote cultural collaboration between Slovenia and Serbia. The Centre is named after Danilo Kiš, Yugoslavian novelist with Jewish origins, on the initiative of Dušan Jovanović.


Programme and aims

The Centre organises courses of Serbian, conferences, lectures and meetings on culture and anthropology for Serbs living in Slovenia and general public interested in the topics. The first conference on Danilo Kiš and world literature and organised by the Centre was held at Visconti Fine Art Gallery in February 22nd 2010 on the occasion of Kiš's birthday.
