Slovene Science Foundation
Aims and funding
Through its presence as a non-governmental national institution in the field of science and through a concrete programme of co-operation, especially with non-governmental national and international science foundations, the Foundation extends international scientific co-operation on behalf of the Slovene scientific community in order to accelarate and promote scientific research. Stipends for additional studies and postgraduate studies are offered twice each year (in Autumn and Spring, according to the availability of funds).
International cooperation
The Slovene Science Foundation joined the European Science Foundation (ESF) in 1995; ESF programmes supported up to 2003 included Life, Environmental and Earth Sciences, Physical and Engineering Sciences and also Humanities (Cultural Exchange in Europe, c1400–c1700).
