Teorija in praksa Journal ('Theory and Practice') is the main Slovene periodical for social sciences which covers areas of political science, journalism, sociology, psychology, defence studies, cultural studies, anthropology and communication science. It has been published bimonthly since 1964 by the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana. The journal presents articles by renowned Slovene social scientists, contributions by well-known European and foreign authors, special issues on particular themes and in-depth interviews with prominent personalities in the Slovene social and scientific arena. Teorija in praksa round tables focus often on social issues and problems that appear in any vibrant society.

International cooperation

The periodical has an international advisory board and is included in several index bases (International Political Science Abstract (IPSA), CSA Worldwide Political Science Abstracts (CSA WPSA), CSA Sociological Abstracts (CSA SA), International Bibliography of Book Reviews of Scholarly Literature in the Humanities and Social Sciences (IBR-Online), International Bibliography of Periodical Literature in the Humanities and Social Sciences (CSA SSA)).
