Situated in Metelkova mesto Autonomous Cultural Centre, the army barracks-turned-cultural complex located in the centre of Ljubljana, Klub Channel Zero is run by the non-governmental organisation KUD Channel Zero (arts and culture association), which has been active in the field of independent culture since 1993. From September 1993 until April 1995 the club was run by members of Strip Core, who made over the entire club interior, painting it with graffitti, and in that period lots of cultural and social events took place there. When Stripcore pulled out in 1995 a few enthusiasts decided to continue developing the space as a venue for young, alternative, underground and non-established culture. Today the association organises approximately 100 events each year, mostly concerts, music events and DJ nights (especially Dub Lab Monday nights became quite popular), but also various multimedia projects - including new digital wave, digital hardcore, industrial music, electronics, and non instrument emulative sounding music (for instance the Zarobotko project), as well as installations, theatre and poetry. Besides these events, the club also supports several bands by offering them a rehearsal space. Gallery ch0 is probably "the smallest gallery in the world".
