The Consulate General of the Republic of Slovenia in Szentgotthárd/Monošter and the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia Budapest together represent an official representative body of the Slovene Government to the Republic of Hungary.

The embassy and the consulate provide consular assistance and promote bilateral political, economic, and cultural relations between Slovenia and neighbouring Hungary. They also represent the interests of the Slovene minority in Hungary.
