Created by the European Commission, the EIC network is managed by the Directorate General of Enterprise and Industry, which co-finances the network and defines its strategy and mode of operation. The Euro Info Centre is integrated in the local and regional business environment which informs, advises, and assists businesses on EU issues and all EU funding programmes. In Western Slovenia the EIC is hosted by the Science and Research Centre of Koper (SRC Koper). There are two more EICs in Slovenia - at Maribor Regional Development Agency, Podravje Region and at JAPTI - Public Agency of Republic of Slovenia for Business and Foreign Investment, Ljubljana.
