The Embassy of the Republic of Italy in Slovenia provides consular, economic, and cultural services. Consular affairs consist of providing information and assistance to Italian citizens residing in or visiting Slovenia, and visa services.

Cultural cooperation

The Embassy plays an active role in promoting Italian culture in Slovenia, fostering artistic, educational, and linguistic exchange, with a strong focus on cross-border cooperation and the protection of minority populations.

Key initiatives have been cultural programs run by the Italy-Slovenia Interreg Programme and a joint initiative Nova Gorica–Gorizia, European Capital of Culture 2025.
