The Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in London is the official representative body of the Slovene Government in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It was opened in 1992. The Embassy promotes close bilateral political, economic and cultural relations between Slovenia and the UK, offers consular assistance to Slovenian citizens in the UK and provides information on Slovenia to the citizens of the UK. It is also responsible for the International Maritime Organization (IMO).




Cultural cooperation

The Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on Co-operation in the Fields of Education, Culture and Science was signed in 1994.

In 2008 the apartment in London was set up as a part of Arts & Culture Residencies Programme for Slovene artists, writers, translators, curators, critics or producers who are selected via an annual open call of the Ministry of Culture. The Slovene Arts & Culture Residency, London is managed by the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in London.
