The Festival of Independent Film is organised by the Film Programme of the Public Fund for Cultural Activities. It is the most important showcase of independent film-makers working in Slovenia.

Background

The festival was established in 1996 by the Cineast Cultural and Artistic Association which organised it until 2004. From 2009 through 2019, the Festival was organised in Domžale by the cultural association MILF. In 2022 the festival was moved to Slovenian Cinematheque in Ljubljana.
