The Golden Pencil Award is presented each year by the Chamber of Architecture and Spatial Planning of Slovenia (ZAPS) for outstanding achievements by its members in the fields of architecture and landscape architecture. The Golden Pencil Award for Spatial Planning is presented every other year.

A lifetime achievement award, the Platinum Pencil, is presented each year to recognise the body of work of a ZAPS member.

ZAPS also organises an annual exhibition of the work of its members. Since 2006, the exhibition has been held at the Congress of Slovene Architects as part of the Golden Pencil Award ceremony.
