Lokar Gallery was established in 2012 by the North Primorska Region Fine Artists Society. The gallery features contemporary visual artists. It also houses a memorial room of Danilo Lokar, a physician and Expressionist author.
In 2020, the project "Rise of woman in culture in Western Balkan", led by Association Fenomena from Serbia, was selected on the Creative Europe special Western Balkans call. Lokar Gallery will participate in the upcoming project as a partner.
