Established in 1977 and located at the [[Miran Jarc Library, Novo Mesto]], the [[Library Association of Dolenjska]] unites librarians from public libraries, elementary and secondary school libraries and specialised libraries in the vicinity of Dolenjska, including the Bela kraijina and Posavje regions and the municipalities of Brežice, Črnomelj, Krško, Metlika, Sevnica and Trebnje. Its current membership stands at 70.
