Strong local support encouraged them to continue the legacy of their illustrious predecessors and contemporaries from that area, and they were officially formed as a band in 2005. The D.I.Y. (do-it-yourself) ethic and friendship are the main driving forces behind their music which has repeatedly taken them on tour all over Europe. |

Biography and touring
Real Life Version arose to existence in 2005, following the local hardcore tradition. Their debut album Resistance From Within was released in 2009 and this is also the year when the band partook in "Got Punk?" tour which took them to many different small club venues around Slovenia. This was soon followed by a European tour in England, Germany, France, Austria, Holland, Poland, Belgium, and Italy. Due to time constrictions, their lead singer left the band soon after that, but the band remained together as a 4-piece. They started to work together on their next release The Sound of Progress which saw the light of day in 2013.
In the time between the two album releases, they conspired with Finland natives Part Time Killer and joined them on their tour of the Czech Republic and Austria. They also did a few more independent tours and had started organising shows for other touring bands in Slovenia back in 2007. They've performed more than 50 shows, and their actions are driven by their firm belief in the D.I.Y. principle, sincere friendships and support for small, local scenes. They keep affirming their beliefs with their continuing efforts in their own performances and those that they help organise for others.
In March 2013, Real Life Version supported MxPx Allstars on their Gala Hala, Ljubljana concert. Two of the band members also play in Seehearspeak so it was almost inevitable that the two bands would join their forces at some point. Their joint European tour came to fruition in February 2014. In the spring of 2014, Real Life Version also united with Start at Zero and toured the Balkans with them. Real Life Version also played at Punk Rock Holiday in Tolmin, Slovenia.
