Established in 1970 by the Škofja Loka Museum Society, [[Žiri Museum]] contains three major permanent collections which are specific to Žiri: the bobbin-lace and shoemaker's collections (both 1973), the National Liberation War collection (1978) and the paintings collection (1980).
