The Social Activities Department of Ljutomer Municipality is responsible for social and health care, education and sports, as well as for public culture and cultural heritage preservation. On behalf of the Municipality, the Ljutomer Public Library runs the runs the Ante Trstenjak Gallery and the Ljutomer Museum (the latter is partly funded by the state).
